World leading tobacco company, first of the sector in the 2017 Dow Jones Sustainability Index and the only one present since 2002
Being present in more than 200 countries, in British American Tobacco we believe that diversity is a key value for the growth and development of a company. We have 137 nationalities among the 57,000 people who make up BAT.
Consumers are the center of everything we do and, therefore, we offer them a wide variety of brands - such as Lucky Strike, Rothmans and Pall Mall. We are also investing in R&D to develop a new generation of high-quality products, which contain less substances that are potentially harmful to health.
In Spain, we have operated since 1990 with a diverse team and a wide sales network. From our office in Madrid we manage the markets of Spain, Andorra, Gibraltar and Portugal.
We know tobacco products pose real and serious health risks and the only way to avoid these risks is not to use them. But many adults choose to smoke, so our top priority continues to be working towards reducing these risks and making available a range of less risky tobacco and nicotine-based alternatives.
Read more about the health risks of smoking, as well as our approach to harm reduction on our Group website .
We have published our sustainability report for the 15th consecutive year. We focus on three key areas with great progress: corporate behaviour, harm reduction and sustainable agriculture.
Sustainability is key for us and is integrated in the different areas of the business.
